Getting ready for the visit
Clear the sills and the approach
Plants, ornaments, and furniture on and beneath sills need moving before glass can be reached properly. Doing that beforehand saves time on the visit.
Point out anything already damaged
Existing scratches, failed seals, and chips are worth flagging before work starts, so cleaning does not get blamed for something that was already there.
Be realistic about access
Glass that can only be reached safely from height or over an obstruction may be outside the scope of a standard visit. Raise it at the walkthrough so expectations match what is possible.
